About Terra Madre

We're passionate about organic food and we've been supplying the local community since 1996. We give our customers value for money by keeping our costs low and stocking the highest quality organic products.

Our dedicated, friendly team is here to provide the best customer service, as well as helpful advice.

How we keep prices down

Low overheads
We keep our operating costs as low as we can.
Direct, and in bulk
We buy straight from suppliers, and we buy in bulk.
Nothing sits on the shelf
If something doesn't sell, we make room for something that does.

Since 1996

We started out as Fruit Peddlers

The High St shop under its verandah — a hanging sign reading ORGANIC FOOD STORE over ORGANIC HEALTH CLINIC, leadlight windows and a green tiled stallriser.
  1. 1996Opened as Fruit Peddlers at 103 High St, Northcote.
  2. 2012Changed the name to Terra Madre.
  3. 2014 & 2016Expanded into neighbouring shops along High St.
  4. 2021Opened the second shop, in Brunswick.
